Great River Human Resource Association was chartered as an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in November 1991. GRHRA serves the Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities area.
Our Mission: GRHRA is a not-for-profit membership organization comprised of local business professionals whose purpose is to educate, promote, and support the HR function in the greater Quad Cities area.
Since its beginning, GRHRA has attracted the Quad Cities’ top Human Resource professionals and has continued to develop into a progressive organization that offers it members informative and relevant programming, networking opportunities, and access to HR professionals at all levels and in all types of organizations.
The organization keeps its members informed of current HR job opportunities, offers study groups for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification, and encourages HR professionals to take advantage of the professional and personal development opportunities that cover all facets of HR-related issues.
GRHRA invites guest speakers to monthly meetings and roundtables to present topics that are relevant to everyone from the strategic HR Professional to the HR Generalist. The Chapter has proudly earned numerous Superior Merit Awards from SHRM for chapter activities every year since its inception. Our board is engaged, innovative, and welcoming.
