Topic: Navigating Incivility: Cultivating Respectful and Inclusive Workplaces
Incivility can quietly undermine the culture leaders strive to build within our teams, affecting relationships, productivity, and overall job satisfaction. In this presentation we will dive into often overlooked behaviors that constitute incivility, from dismissive comments to subtle interruptions, and explore the ripple effects on both individuals and the workplace.
Presenter Bio: Erick Recinos - Inclusion & Engagement Program Manager, UnityPoint Health - Trinity
Erick Recinos is the first born of two immigrant parents from Guatemala, and was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. In 2017, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Life Pacific University and was hired on to a church’s staff as the Young Adult’s Pastor where he was responsible for building a bridge between the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking congregation.
In 2020 Erick moved from Los Angeles to Bettendorf, IA where he joined the UnityPoint Health team as the Inclusion and Engagement Program Manager. In his current role Erick has served to develop, implement, and sustain strategic operation of DEI work for local and system wide markets. He oversees affiliate DEI committees, provides consultation for team members, and hosts educational opportunities throughout UnityPoint Health.
His passion is to help create opportunities for people to engage and interact with their community, and to cultivate a culture of belonging. It is his passion to be a “Bridge-Builder” for communities, cultures, and systems.
