Ignite HR Roundtable | Health & Welfare Compliance: Back to the Basics & Coming Attractions (Aug.10)

In this HR Round Table, sponsored by Molyneaux/Assured Partners, presenters Chris Bayer and Tom Seltz will get back to the basics for HR professionals when it comes to benefits. During the event, they will discuss items to remember, changes we have seen recently, as well as upcoming items that will impact benefit plans. They will also address and cover common client questions.

It is their hope that this event is more discussion than a simple presentation, so please arrive ready to discuss and participate.

About the Presenters:

Chris Bayer is a Vice President and Shareholder at Molyneaux/AssuredPartners.  Over the last 18 years, Chris has worked alongside employers to design and implement employee benefit strategies. HR Professionals and CFOs look to Chris and the Molyneaux/AssuredPartners team when they want to control cost and improve the employee perception of their benefit program with the focus of becoming a high-performing organization. 

Chris graduated from Judson University in Elgin, IL in 2004. He worked in the voluntary benefits industry, as a sales associate and sales manager, for 13 years before joining the Molyneaux/Assured Partners team. Chris earned his CLF® designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA in 2014 and his REBC® designation from The National Association of Health Underwriters in 2018. Chris and his family reside in Galesburg where he is a member of Galesburg’s Noon Lions Club and Past Chairman of The Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  

Tom Seltz, Regulatory Compliance Executive.  Tom coordinates the day-to-day regulatory compliance support services provided to Molyneaux’s employee benefits' clients in areas including ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act.  By making compliance as meaningful and as understandable as possible, Tom helps clients be compliant with less effort and fewer resources so they can focus on other pressing matters.

 Married and a father of two, Tom lives in the Beaverdale neighborhood in Des Moines, IA.  He currently serves on the Iowa Association of Health Underwriters’ (IAHU) Legislative Committee.
