During our strategic planning sessions, the GRHRA board developed a Statement of Purpose for our organization -

1.  To provide a forum for the personal and professional development of our members.

2.  To cultivate an environment for the development of trusted relationships among members and the community where best practices and common issues can be shared.

3.  To disseminate valuable Human Resource information and resources to our membership and the community, and function as a liaison between the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and our local chapter.

4.  To function as a point of contact and encourage advocacy of legislative, business and Human Resource management issues in our local, state and national communities.

5.  To encourage and provide opportunities to engage in stewardship and charitable giving on a personal and organizational level. 

6.  To build connections with local colleges and universities for the purpose of advancing the Human Resource profession and to encourage integration of students into the field.  

To say we've arrived and accomplished everything we've wanted to wouldn't be true. But the good news is, we're well on our way. And YOU can help us get there! We welcome guests to our meetings to learn more about us. Or, just join on-line and get involved. We believe that it's important for HR professionals to network and build trusted relationships and we encourage our members to support one another professionally and personally. Our programming is designed to provide you with topics that are relevant, informative, and thoughtful. 

As we begin 2012, we expect great things to happen. Don't just come along for the ride. Jump in and share your talents! We value the expertise, advice, and opinions of our members and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
