From the President...

“To be the foremost connection of human resources information between SHRM and our members for the betterment of our community and the HR profession.”

This sums up what Great River Human Resource Association strives to be, and is a key focus in the year 2017!  As GRHRA continues to provide guidance to members and the organizations where wejanpicwork, we also recognize our responsibility to be leaders in our community.  More than ever, HR professionals need to lead the way with our knowledge and competency of employment law, talent acquisition, corporate social responsibility, employee engagement and retention. These and many other important factors impact our organizations.  We also have a responsibility to society to be good stewards outside of work, as we see the very principles we model in the workplace spill into our communities.  For these reasons, the GRHRA Board will work diligently to provide quality programming, enhanced networking, and increased opportunities to reach out into our community to deliver professional human resource assistance.

Great River HR Association provides the network HR professionals need for successful business outcomes.  In addition, GRHRA provides individual growth and leadership opportunities to enhance personal performance.  I want 2017 to be the Year of Recognition for Human Resources – not only in the organizations we work for but also to our members within the Great River HR Association!   If you are new to GRHRA, we welcome you!  And to our long-time members, we thank you!  It is your continued support and participation that sustains and grows GRHRA.

Feel free to call me if you have any questions or if you have interest in serving with this great team of volunteers. And thank you for being a part of GRHRA.  Let's work together to make 2017 a great year!
