Great River Human Resource Association, an affiliate chapter of SHRM, is a group dedicated to aiding and educating Human Resources Professionals. Career Resources

Members have a free service to advertise HR openings in their organizations to find qualified candidates. We do accept HR job postings from recruiters and non-members at a rate of $150 per posting.

Professional Development

GRHRA has provided extended workshop and seminar programs each year, both virtually and in-person. Additionally, most of our meetings provide SHRM recertification credit hours.

Monthly Meetings

Members receive a discounted rate on all meeting/event tickets throughout the year.

Certification Opportunities

As a member, you can develop your career and enhance your professional status through national Certification as a Professional in Human Resource Management. If you participate in the study group and successfully pass the exam, we will reimburse a portion of your fees.

Newsletters and Bulletins

Members will receive notices of meetings, events, conferences, job openings, legislative updates, etc. In addition, we provide opportunities for companies, organizations, and colleges to promote upcoming events.

Legal Updates

We provide our members with timely information on current legislative issues, provided by our membership attorneys. Because we have two bordering states and members from each side of the river, you will receive special notices on legislation that will affect both Iowa and Illinois.

How to join

GRHRA is a 100% membership chapter, which means to become a member, you must have a valid and current membership with the national SHRM organization. GRHRA membership is now offered directly through SHRM via the Professional – Dual Membership.
