$1.5 trillion in student loan debt shouldered by over 45 million Americans serves as an impediment to economic growth in rural counties. Investment in the purchase of a home, vehicle, or the starting of a family, may be delayed due to the impact student loan debt.

Being able to understand this type of impact helped Clinton County devise a plan that recognized  repayment as an incentive and a method to retain and attract talent to the area.

In this presentation, Andy Sokolovich, Vice President of Economic Development in Clinton, will explain how the Clinton County Community Student Loan Assistance Program was created to help ease the financial burden of student loans while recruiting and retaining top talent into Clinton County through a progressive debt relief initiative.

Join us to not only learn how Clinton County paved the way, but also determine if this may be a type of program for your company to adopt, not just for new graduates but also for current professionals who may want to start or return to school.
