Theresa Nordstrom, SPHR, is a 20+ year progressive HR professional with experience in Fortune 100 and start-up organizations. She has worked in a diverse group of companies and industries such as big-box retail, construction, food manufacturing, and technology. A few of the companies you may recognize are Best Buy, ConAgra Foods, Accenture and Interstates, a NW Iowa company located in Sioux Center.
Theresa’s HR career is very diverse but from her very first role at Target stores, she found herself spending a lot time in one space - talent acquisition. Why? Because it always seemed to be the area where there needed a problem to be solved.
In 2015, after helping sell a Start-Up tech company, Theresa left the corporate world and founded Nordstrom Talent, an Executive Search Firm. Her firm specializes in attracting the Top 15% of Accounting, Finance & Human Resource talent; using story-telling and innovative round-the-clock digital inbound marketing strategies to grab the attention of those who are about impossible to attract.
Her clients and candidates would likely describe her as more of a marketer or career coach than as a Recruiter. Her motto is – why fit in when you were born to stand out?
