We will be kicking off the 2019 GRHRA year with a morning breakfast event featuring Dr. Cheryl True, MD. In this presentation, Dr. True will explore the topic of work-life balance, not just from an industry perspective, but also with a person-centered lens, including topics embracing health and well-being. With so many conversations in the workplace around this topic, you won't want to miss this event!

Dr. Cheryl True:

Dr Cheryl True is a Quad Cities native. She graduated from Augustana College and the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She returned to the Quad Cities for her residency, and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Last year she became of one the first 204 physicians to become board certified in the new specialty of Lifestyle Medicine.


Her interest in Lifestyle Medicine has led to new and interesting activities including becoming a health and wellness coach, receiving a certificates in plant-based nutrition and plant-based cooking. She is a facilitator for CHIP – a Complete Health Improvement Program. She enjoys bringing medicine outside the clinic setting, and started a local Walk with a Doc Chapter, and a local PlantPure Nation Pod. Professionally, she serves as a board member for the Quad City Health Initiative and on the executive committee for the Scott County Medical society. She is also very active with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, serving on several committees and working groups. She has given presentations to medical professionals, students and the general public on the topics of Lifestyle Medicine, Physician Burnout and Community Engagement.
