Spotlight Volunteer Opportunity
The Muscatine High School Language Arts Department would like to invite you to participate in the 6th Annual Mock Interview Day with our English 12 students on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 8:20am-3:30pm. In order to help prepare them for post-secondary success and career readiness, we are having our students compose resumes, references, and cover letters.
A few changes this year:
- The Mock Interview Day will be held all day. This will allow you time to interview each student for about 15 minutes. Feel free to ask your own questions.
- We would like you to commit for the full day. Or, please consider having a colleague come when you are unavailable.
- Light refreshments and lunch will be provided.
- You can park in the front of the school, Mulberry Lot, or Cedar Street Lot. Please do not park in the back of the school.
- Enter through the Main Entrance at the front of the school. You will be asked for your I.D. before you are admitted.
Interviews will begin at 8:20am in the Commons; you may want to arrive sooner to get settled. We will be in the Commons area until 11:30am. Then, we will go to Room 22-016 for Lunch. (Students will be eating in the Commons and you will need to take your personal items.)
Due to students who eat during the second lunch time at 12:00pm, you will either stay in Room 22-016 or go to an area in the New Wing to interview 4th hour students.
At 12:50pm, we will go back to the Commons to finish the afternoon interviews.
Please respond before, or by, September 19th to Mary Goedken if you will be able to participate. Thank you in advance for supporting the education of our students.
