Substance Abuse in the Workplace - What Employers Need to Know.

The opioid crisis is making national headlines. HR professionals must be proactive in taking steps to keep their organizations safe, while also maintaining awareness of substance abuse that may be occurring. We have invited professionals to join us for the next GRHRA meeting who will give specific advice and tips on how to handle issues that you may have already experienced. Areas of learning include the following:

  • Identify the signs of substance abuse
  • Understand the underlying issues related to addiction
  • Understand the options available to help suffering staff
  • Understand the paradoxical duties facing employers
