Stuck in 1998? It's time to update your harassment compliance practices.

Many organizations today make an honest effort to comply with recommended guidelines in areas like sexual harassment.  They have a policy, they conduct training and when issues are reported they investigate.  Is that enough however?  Are we really just minimizing our risks or are we honestly trying to change our culture?  A number of organizations have made the news recently...and probably not for the things they wanted to be known for!  So the question for HR professionals is how do we go about moving from compliance and risk management to creating an environment that is positive and helps organizations move forward?

At this month's meeting we will look at sexual harassment as we have defined it for many years and try to identify opportunities for HR professionals to move our cultures forward so that we are not just reacting to complaints, but being pro-active in creating a positive environment.
