BIO:

Tami Seitz is a native Quad Citian whose career in communications and broadcasting began at WQAD-TV as an on-air news reporter.  From there she became an instructor and communications department chairperson at Scott Community College where she wrote curriculum, designed radio, video and television studios and taught courses for the Communications Media program which was nationally recognized as a “First in the Nation in Education” for one of the first 2 + 2 + 2 programs in the region.

Tami was invited to create a similar educational program at Jacksonville University, in Jacksonville Florida where she taught and built the broadcast program for three years.

Family brought her back to the Quad Cities where she began her career in marketing for non-profits and higher education. Tami marketed the Quad City Symphony, a local social service agency, St. Ambrose University ACCEL Program and was director of marketing at Western Illinois University-QC. Tami added an on-air morning drive personality at Mix 96.1 FM in 2004 and was DJ by morning and marketer the rest of the day.

Tami has conducted workshops on crisis communications and how to speak to the media and currently works with small businesses to market and bolster their social media presence. Tami will be a featured guest speaker on crisis communications at the fall meeting for the National Association of Music Merchants. She is currently working with Griggs Music as their marketing and social media maven and is a mid-day on-air personality at KIIK 104.9 in the Quad Cities.
