Focusing on the constant change often leaves little time for reflection and improving our effectiveness as partners in our organizations. This Roundtable will provide practical examples from HR and operations partners who have cracked the code in three areas important to any organization, large or small. Participants will hear real-life examples from panel members and then take a deeper dive in three topics, hearing from colleagues as well. Key take-a-ways discovered and shared will be sent back to participants in summary format.

Lisa Charnitz will be the facilitator for the meeting. Lisa will present some questions to the three panel members and ask for their input/responses. After the initial presentations each panel member will be at separate tables so participants have an opportunity to go to each table and ask specific questions or have a discussion on the topics. This will be a great time for interaction. A note taker will be at each table to capture information and share with all participants within a few days after the meeting is over.

Understanding and communicating the organization’s brand isn’t always top of mind for HR teams. Others hope “marketing” can take care of it. Communicating brands across the lifecycle of an employee and connecting it to the customer is no longer a nice to have but a must have. “HR in Metrics”:

Leaders need data for decisions. You don’t need a supercomputer or detailed algorithms to collect good data. Discover how you can collect and use data to increase your credibility and do your homework when recommending and guiding people decisions that drive results. “HR and Business Partnerships”:

In your organization, does HR have a “seat at the table?” If your answer is yes, how do you use that seat? We will discuss building partnerships with the business leaders we support, specifically around gaining credibility, building strategy, and executing that strategy as a unified team. adriennewheelerAdrienne Wheeler is a member of the HR team for HNI Corporation, Leveraged Furniture Operations, in Muscatine, IA.  In her current role she is the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager focusing on hourly workforce planning and recruitment, salaried/professional talent acquisitions (including early career development pipelines and campus recruitment), employment branding and marketing, employee training and development and internal succession planning and talent development.  Adrienne has worked in the HR field for over 14 years with a specific passion and focus in recruiting, training and talent development.  Prior to her 6 years with HNI Corporation, she resided in Chicago and worked for two of the largest law firms in Chicago.  Outside of work, Adrienne enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears and cooking.

richard-snider Richard Snider is the Vice President of Revolution Technologies Managed Service Programs (MSP). He brings 15 years in program management, technology implementation and project leadership as well as a unique approach to MSP’s. His passion for results within new and maturing MSP’s has produced client results within multiple industries. Mr. Snider joined Revolution Technologies in 2013 to establish a strong strategy and implementation approach for MSP’s. His experience and results for world-leading companies has also translated into solid programs for mid-size and smaller enterprises. Grounded in operational excellence, Six Sigma methods and a vast network of strategic alliances, Mr. Snider has created and designed many outstanding programs reaping best-in-class results. Previously, Mr. Snider was a Regional Vice President with Volt Consulting Group providing executive leadership for the Midwest and was a National Account Director for Manpower. In those roles, he uncovered client needs which were translated into executable actions to gain measurable results. That formula has created nearly $100 million in client savings and over 50,000 filled positions. Mr. Snider earned his Bachelor of Business Degree in Organizational Development and Management at Western Illinois University and his Master of Business Administration at University of Iowa. He also earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification in 2005. A proud father of 4 very active children, Mr. Snider is also a coach of youth sports who believes that positive competition helps build future leaders.

jennfeeneyJennifer Feeney is the Chief People Officer with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC), joining the organization in October 2007.  In her role, she supervises the HR and Volunteer Services teams, and primarily focuses on policy review & development, legal & compliance issues, and staff development, all done with an eye toward supporting the overall culture of the organization.  Prior to joining MVRBC, Jennifer worked for Per Mar Security Services (Vice President, Human Resources) for 9 years and The President Riverboat Casino (Director of Human Resources) for 7 years.  Jennifer graduated with a BA from Augustana College with a major in Business Administration (Management & Finance) and a minor in Psychology.  Jennifer has been past President of GRHRA (2008) and is immediate past Chair of America’s Blood Centers’ HR committee.  Jennifer holds the current certifications of SPHR and SHRM-SCP.
