As a leader, it’s not enough just to work hard. It’s not enough to do a great job. To be successful, you need to learn how to communicate in a way that connects with others. David Drewelow underscores principles and practices to equip you to communicate at a level that runs far deeper than words using an interactive format based on John Maxwell's book "Everyone Communicates, Few Connect."

Note: John C. Maxwell's book, "Everyone Communicates, Few Connect" will be available at the meeting for $20. (Please bring exact change or be prepared to write a check.) Through five principles and five practices, John Maxwell reveals how to truly connect with people. Maxwell believes that by improving your connecting ability you will also increase your influence with people.

Note 2: St. Ambrose University Career Center is asking for gently used and/or new clothing for graduating students to wear for interviews. If you have any donations, you can drop them off at the Career Center which is just to the left when you walk into the Rogalski Center. Thanks for helping out!

BIO:

David Drewelow is a coach. I help people change their thinking. Changed thinking leads to changed results. This is my purpose in life.

Let me tell you WHY I am a coach. My dad struggled as a business owner. As a teen, he'd talk to me about his personal and business challenges. He couldn't talk to my mom because they'd fight, especially about money. At one point bankruptcy and divorce seemed inevitable. By the grace of God they made it through.

On September 15, 2001, I told my dad I was going to become a business coach. He was thrilled! He understood the value a coach could offer by helping with the issues that business owners face everyday. He wished he could of had a coach.

Then it hit me. As a business coach, I could learn how to help people just like my dad! That powerful ah-ha moment confirmed WHY I needed to become a coach. My mentor John Maxwell says, "There are two great moments in a person's life, the day they are born and the day they discover why."

So, what is your WHY?

I joined ActionCOACH as a recruiter and a business coach. My team has helped hundreds of business owners grow by using proven resources to accelerate their growth. I joined The John Maxwell Team to help leaders, teams and business owners achieve more through leadership development.

My vision is "Everyone has a coach." My ideal clients are business owners and young professionals who "get it" with a passion to achieve greater success. In my coaching practice I look for people who are willing to invest in their own personal growth.

Interested in coaching? Let's talk. I'd love to share the many benefits and rewards that coaching offers. For professionals, it is greater success. For business owners, it is making more money. I believe we all need a coach and I would welcome the chance to help you on your journey.

Welcome to my great adventure!
